What does RPL involve?

An assessor will evaluate your skills against the industry standards for the course or qualification you’re aiming to complete. They may also compare your skills to the qualifications currently on offer. There are three main types of evidence that will be considered:

1. Work Experience: Your past practical work experience, whether informal or formal, full-time, part-time, or voluntary, may have given you relevant skills and knowledge.

2. Education: Any educational courses or qualifications you’ve completed, such as a TAFE course or unit, that provided you with relevant knowledge and understanding.

3. Life Experience: The general life experiences and skills you’ve developed over time can also contribute towards the qualification you’re seeking.

These pieces of evidence collectively demonstrate your competency and readiness for the desired qualification.
